Sustainability Spotlight: Brands that do the Holiday season right

Sustainability is no longer a short mention in brands' mission statements or singular efforts that they do out of peer or customer pressure. It is becoming one of the necessary pillars of business and we think it's about time!

With the Holiday season at its peak, we would like to spotlight some companies that have a creative approach to their sustainability efforts specific to this special time of year.

1. Patagonia’s “Give a Damn” campaign:

Being the top rebel of sustainable fashion, Patagonia does not disappoint this Holiday shopping season. They advocate for careful shopping decisions, sharing knowledge, and repairing and reusing what we already have. Their way of education is light, humorous, and concise. We read every bit of it and we encourage you to do the same!

2. Macrae Skye campaign ”Show Us Your Family”:

In this thoughtful holiday campaign, this sustainable New York-based children’s clothing brand is celebrating diverse families and showcasing the different faces of a modern family. The brand provides a holiday pajamas discount code and asks its customers to share photos of their unique families (including the furry members). For every pair of pajamas sold, they will donate one to domestic abuse shelters.

3. Barbour x Paddington Bear campaign:
Going more international, the well-known high-end waxed jackets brand from the UK, Barbour has collaborated with the beloved children’s character Paddington Bear. Their nostalgic and humorous advert collab tells a sweet story about the importance of caring and cherishing the clothes we own, in this particular case, Barbour jackets that, if re-waxed at least once a year, can last for years and years to come.
