At SCRAP we are sensitive to your and our ambassadors’ health and safety, particularly as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt our lives. Here’s how we strive to keep each other safe as we arrange to pick up your clothing during the covid pandemic and give it new life.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Clean and sanitize:

  • First of all, please wash the clothes and sanitize the box or bag you’re storing them in. The easiest way to sanitise the containers is with an antibacterial spray or wipes. There might be scarier things than covid lurking in some of our clothes and closets over the years!

  • Second, before the time of the pick-up comes, please make sure to sanitize your hands and get a mask ready. If you’d prefer not to wear a mask, you can place your items outside the door.

  • Finally, and most importantly, please cancel your pick-up appointment if you are feeling unwell or if you know that someone in your household has COVID-19 or is awaiting test results. We will be happy to reschedule and this is one situation where there is truly no rush.

WHAT DO WE DO?

  • Our brand ambassadors are fully vaccinated and will have sanitized their hands and/or wear gloves when they arrive to pick up your clothing.

  • They will carry a mask and wear it if they see you are wearing yours.

  • We will be continuously monitoring the pandemic situation to be sure that we, and you, are comfortable and safe donating your clothes during covid and doing the right thing by keeping your clothes out of landfills.

Don’t forget that our drop-off locations around the city will be launching this month! We are working diligently to establish health protocols and prepare safe donation areas for you and our partners. Stay tuned on social for updates and promotions!
